Prospect - Mr. Richard J. Beaudoin, age 83, of Prospect, passed away peacefully on Monday October 10, 2016 in the VITAS Unit at St. Mary's Hospital. He was the husband of the late Marybeth (Hughes) Beaudoin.

Mr. Beaudoin as born in Waterbury on December 5, 1932 a son of the late Ovila and Rachel (Lussier) Beaudoin. He was retired from Hamden Steel where he had worked as a mechanic for many years. He enjoyed building race cars, was a licensed private pilot and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church .
Mr. Beaudoin proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force during the Korean War.

Mr. Beaudoin is survived by two daughters: Lori Corbett and her husband Jim of Prospect and Lisa Saddig and her husband Jeff of Beacon Falls, five grandchildren: Nicholas Saddig, R.J. Saddig, Ericka Corbett, Jennifer Corbett, Stephen Corbett and his Krystina, four great grandchildren: Raina Kemper, Maylea Kemper, Hannah Kemper and Abylina Gallegos, his brother-in-law George Hughes and his wife Lorraine and many Nieces and Nephews.

Besides his wife and parents was predeceased by 13 sisters and brothers.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday October 15, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church, 4 Union City Road, Prospect. Family and friends are asked to please meet directly at the church. Military honors will be presented at the church immediately following mass. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held at the Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect on Friday October 14, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m.
